As you’re getting settled into this new school year I wanted to remind STUDENTS AND PARENTS/GUARDIANS of some important upcoming deadlines. This is the first and last message I’ll be sending on both Q and CutTime this year, and I’m doing so to make sure everyone knows they have some details to take care of in order to keep receiving messages through CutTime. My apologies to those of you receiving this message multiple times.
Parents/Guardians
- Please review the Band Handbook with your student and then fill out this Expectation Acknowledgement form. This form is due by Friday. If you have any questions please let me know.
- Please make sure you have filled out your FinalForms medical/emergency information for your student. You can do so by going to https://hockinson-wa.
finalforms.com/ and creating an account. If you have created an account in past years or for another sport or activity you simply need to verify the information is correct and then add your student to the correct band class (or classes). - The Husky Band Day permission slip was shared after Band Camp and needs to be completed by a parent/guardian for each student. Please click here to fill it out. If you or anyone else would like to attend Husky Band Day as a spectator, click this link to purchase discounted tickets.
Students:

- Please make sure you have updated your SportsYou account to be in the correct band. See page 15 of the Band Handbook for directions on how to join the correct group.
Misc:
- Students interested in joining Jazz 2 this year should come to an informational meeting this WEDNESDAY, 8/26 AT 8:05AM IN THE BAND ROOM. Jazz 2 is open to all students without an audition.
- All band camp expenses have been added to students’ CutTime accounts. For students in Wind, Jazz 1, and Percussion ordering formal wear, those costs will be added on Wednesday. If you were not at band camp and have not been fitted for a uniform, we will have volunteers in the band room during class tomorrow to take care of that.
- If you are renting a school instrument please be sure to return your form by the end of the week and pay the $125 rental fee to the activities office. Fees not paid by this week will turn into fines and may keep students from being able to participate in sports, activities, dances, etc. If you need a copy of your rental agreement please email me, or students can pick up a printed copy in the band room.
